Kelly L. Coughenour
Kelly is an associate with Schafer | Thomas, PC. Ms. Coughenour practices in the areas of estate planning, estate and trust administration, and business transactions. She works closely with other firm attorneys and clients to develop and implement creative estate and business succession plans that emphasize tax deferral and minimization.
Kelly received her law degree from the University of Denver, College of Law and her Bachelor of Arts in Geosciences from Franklin & Marshall College. While attending law school, Kelly was a member of the Denver University Law Review. After attending law school, she worked as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Lawrence A. Manzanares, in Denver District Court's civil and domestic divisions.
Kelly is a member of the Colorado and Denver Bar Associations, the Trust and Estates Section of the Colorado Bar Association, and the Rhone Brackett Inn of Court. Additionally, Kelly is a member of the Board of Directors of the Exempla Good Samaritan Medical Center Foundation. She enjoys gardening, long hikes with her husband and two dogs, and other outdoor activities.
